Munnar is one of the favourite destination spots<\/a> in India. It is situated at around 1600 meters above sea level. The temperature of Munnar ranges between 5 \u00b0Celsius to 25 \u00b0Celsius during winter and 15 \u00b0Celsius to 29 \u00b0 Celsius during summer. Munnar is rich in its flora and fauna. It was handled by Kanan Devan Hills produce company before 1971. The control was taken over by the Government of Karnataka in 1971 and it was declared as a national park in 1978.
